Spring has arrived!
Nothing quiet feels like spring, it just smells, feels and even tastes like new beginnings. As I get older, I fall more and more in love with Spring. It gives a renewed sense of hope that in my young years I didn’t realize, as the Winter weather lifts the days start to get longer and the perfume of spring flowers scent the breeze.
I garden all year round but there is something so refreshing about planting in the spring, the seeds seem to sprout so much quicker that what was planted in the colder months and the colour green quickly fills the veggie patch. Not to mention the babies, oh the babies little goats jumping around the fields, baby lambs calling out to their mums and the baby chicks starting to hatch it gives a sense of hope for the upcoming months.
This Winter was one of the most difficult I have ever personally had in terms of weather, I have a new understanding of why the farms watch the weather on the news, this was the first year that I fully understood what my husband has been doing for years. I would have looked at Willy Weather on average 5 times a day I watched in dread that we would be getting more rain, it felt like it would never stop and then it did and out of nowhere spring had began and hope returned.
